I am resigning from web design (again) to participate the Dual Master Program at University of Arizona to get a MS in Engineering and a MBA (Masters in Business Administration). Web design will forever remain a hobby and a passion for me.

I may choose to accept a few design projects here and there, however, I think most of my time will be spent studying and participating in Acdemic Engineering activities. I will try to stay active in the web design communities and would be glad to help anyone with questions reguarding web design / development. So, feel free to send me a message if you are in need of guidence.

This month, FX’s new show, Sons of Anarchy, premiered. I waited to for the first episode in anticipation. I love shows about bikes.. I watched American Chopper, although I preferred Jesse Jame’s west coast chopper. I know it was all just show.. but I love bikes.. esp watching them being built. So it would be no surprise that this show would interest me.

Anyway, I was a little unsure how I felt about the first episode. They did enough research to be somewhat accurate. I heard they studied a few active 81 chapters… so they got much of it right, but being Hollywood, most of the show is exaggerated and glorified. I have a good idea of the way the MC world works.. and it ain’t like the movies!

I got an offer to trade my enclosed trailer for a 1979 Renken 19.5′ open bow fish/ski boat with a Mercruiser 140. I think I am going to do it, but need to do a little research. Anyway, here are the details:

• Shade top.. worn, but no leaks
• Replaced starter, but may have some wiring problems

Bought the trailer for my auto detailing business a few years ago, but right now it is just sitting around. I use it every now and then to tow my bike, but I think someone else could put it to better use.

For the last couple weeks, I’ve been feeling kinda burnt with work and being stuck in the house with no one to watch Devon. So, Jenny, also stressed with work, and I decided to take a few days to get out and enjoy ourselves. If we could have it our way, we would do nothing but travel.. who wouldn’t?!?!

Although we had intended to get some rest… rest was one of the few things we did not do. The trip was a last minute thing, so there was little planning involved. We started out towards Lake Havasu, hoping that there would be some decent camping. 3 1/2 hours later, we arrived to find that the town (Lake Havasu City) and the lake were surprisingly dead. With temperatures in the low 100’s, most of the tourist were locked away in their air-conditioned RVs while we searched for a decent tent campsite close to the water. After 3 1/2 hours of driving, we were ready to get settled in.. but it would be another 3 hours before we would find a spot that would fit our needs. Just as we were about to settle for a hotel, we found a spot near the water.

As I type, I am using one of Google’s newest tools. Google just released it’s new beta windows browser named Chrome. After only a few minutes playing around with its limited features, I am starting to like the simplicity. The browser is very lightweight and easy on the eyes. It does lack some of the more advanced features, although I’m sure plugins will eventually become available. Currently, it doesn’t support plugin extensions.

I wouldn’t give up my love affair with Fire Foxfor this new browser, however, I think it has many benefits to offer. There are some very neat features, but none that couldn’t be duplicated using firefox add ons.

To those, who commented on this post, I have to say that your comments were very  useless and entirely pointless. However, don’t think for one second any of this has to do with you or anything you said.

I am resigning from web design (again) to participate the Dual Master Program at University of Arizona to get a MS in Engineering and a MBA. Web design will forever remain a hobby and a passion for me, but there is just no point in doing it professionally. There is too much competition.. the market is way over saturated. Also, I find there is nothing but a bunch of self righteous wanna-bes that have no interest in advancing the profession, but rather insist on sharing their deficiency of intelligence (which seems to be a growing epidemic). Oh and I forgot to mention the fact that I will be making at least 2 or 3 times the income of any web designer I know (with the exception of a few application developers), once I actually complete my degree(s).

If you would like to make a real comment about how the site could be improved, please share… otherwise, I would appreciate if you kept your comments to yourself. Intelligent opinions are always welcomed, however slamming my work is not something I take kindly to.

I figured, rather than reinventing the wheel and writing yet another tutorial, I would gather up all of the bookmarks I have saved over the years and share them with the newcomers to our industry. So, below you will a number of resources that might just help you find the answer you are looking for.

I try to code to standards and I encourage you to learn the standards of coding and follow them to the best of your abilities. If you are serious about learning how to design websites, go to the library and read some books, check out the resources I have provided, and experiment.. the only way to learn is by doing it!

Recently, I decided to go back into business as a web designer and developer. In the two years I was away, a lot has changed. Ajax is more popular than ever, Macromedia and Adobe are now one in the same, and frameworks are popping up all over the place! Sure, most of that stuff has been coming on for a while, but to me, it is all fairly new.

I had never used a framework before. In fact, I had very little knowledge of what frameworks could accomplish. However, after only a few months of using frameworks for my projects, I have to say I am impressed!

Welcome!

Once upon a time, I enjoyed blogging at and customizing my Tagworld page. After they made the change to their new version and deleted the pages that I had worked so hard to create… I decided to go back to MySpace. MySpace, has never been my thing, but I figured I would give it try. After some time spent redesigning my page and making a few blog posts, I remembered the exact reason I dislike MySpace… because it is so poorly coded and completely inflexible!

I’ve been wanting to develop a personal page for some time, however between moving around and my various other interests, I haven’t found the time… until now. I decided to take a few days off from developing sites for other people and create something of my own.. this will be my MySpace, my Tagworld, and my Face Book! Not sure if anyone will actually find it, but its worth a try.
